Soil: Mix of clay and limestone. Site: In the Cote Chalonnaise, South of Cote de Beaune, this Premier Cru 'terroir' of Montagny enhences the fresh fruit and mineral style of the Chardonnay. The Vintage 2005: Exceptional after a superb growing season, cold winter, rainy spring followed by hot and dry summer. Grapes picked at optimum ripeness and in perfect health, hence a minimum sorting was required. Pale gold colour. Very delicate floral fragrances mixed with exotic fruit and enhanced by a good minerality. Well-balanced. Very refreshing, fruity. Well-integrated minerality and long finish. Serve with pate, lobsters and poultry as well as some goats cheeses. white wine
